The motorcade of Ingush "Interior Minister" Musa Medov attacked in Nazran on Tuesday. According to sources in the Province of Ghalghaycho (Ingushetia) of the Caucasus Emirate, Medev was driving to work, accompanied by a convoy of vehicles, when a powerful explosion occurred.
It is not clear whether the attack on motorcade was conducted by a Martyr or a vehicle exploded, parked on the roadside. Russian sources said that is was "source bomber".
Medov and his bodyguards were unharmed, while five bystanders were wounded and several houses in the vicinity of the blast were damaged, Ingush puppet source said. Sources reported that Medev's armored Mercedes sedan had got inflamed as a result of the explosion and a few escort car of the ringleader of "MIA" were damaged.
Medev, along with the nearest escort, dash away from the scene, without giving any assistance to his guards in the burning car.
It was reported that Medov was injured. After the explosion, he said that the attempt to eliminate him was aimed to "destabilize the republic".
"Nobody will be able to intimidate us. We had, we will continue to fight with those who want to destroy the inter-ethnic environment, interfaith peace and harmony in the republic", said ringleader of "MIA of Ingushetia" and immediately announced that "Ingushetia is under control".
Representatives of Zyazikov's regime also announced that "militants and the West" is behind the attack. Kavkaz Center
