Military junta announced death of 35 Mujahideen in Waziristan

At least 35 "Islamist fighters" and two Pakistani soldiers have been killed in heavy fighting in a northwestern tribal region near the Afghan border, the Pakistani army has said.

 

Major general Waheed Arshad, a military spokesman, said on Monday a number of fighters were killed after attacking military checkpoints near Mir Ali in North Waziristan.
